Prostar 1000

Wide range of medium to high gain antennas. The smallest antenna in this family is UHF-only PR-9012 Yagi, it has only 5 active elements and is excellent in light green CEA areas. The elements are metallic silver and have a glossy finish. The boom is also double to provide extra rigidity and strength. The tetra pole driven elements has very low losses in combining the signals from both VHF and UHF bands. The screen serves dual purpose of both directing and reflecting the VHF and UHF channels respectively. The mast clamps are very durable and doesn¢t crush the mast. Chromstar amplifiers can also be attached with this antenna in order to produce higher signal strength.

Platinum HD

High-gain and pretty large size antennas for reception in weak signal areas. The antennas width is about 110in and the boom length varies from 50in for HD9065P uHF-only model and up to 178in VHF/UHF HD8200P model. Winegard claims that platinum hd line provides 1 to 2dB higher gain for both VHF and UHF bands. The hardware made of steel is coated with zinc so that corrosion is avoided. The connectors of the antenna are covered with polyethylene boots to provide protection from bad weather. The antenna has double boom braces that provide extra strength and integrity along with support insulators and ABS high impact girder design. It is recommended to look for a professional assistance in antenna installation, especially for the larger members of platinum hd family.
