Summary: Waited too long to get this
Just delivered the other day. Fairly easy to assemble & set up. The difference between this & the Terk HDTVa I previously used was great-clearer reception with many more channels received. With some directional adjustments was able to pull in almost all local channels I should be in range for. The amount of wire to connections given was one lack-makes it impossible to move very far from the TV-luckily setting it on a small table near the TV worked well enough to be able to make small directional adjustments as needed for certain channels. So far am pleased with the product.

I\m am happy great antenna canot pick up both 11 and 13 at the same but move a little can find the other on rescan box. This antenna also works well in Perrysburg Ohio of the 4 Indoor ones I tried this worked the best. (I tried{Silver surfer) philips indoor antenna SDV2780/27 works well in Oregon Ohio but can not pick up anything 13 or below in Perrysburg Ohio) The Wineguard SS-3000 gets all the main stations in area with strong signal above 13 every time. Easy to setup follow instutions. GE Optima only get one channel in my area. Don\t buy this antenna GE Optima the worse antenna for Toledo Ohio area I have tried.

Summary: Varying results. It all depends on where you live.
I was very excited to read the reviews on this antenna. However, after assembly and connection, I was surprised that I lost most all of the signals I previously was receiving with my broken eared GE Optima TV94714 antenna. Returned for refund. After purchasing and returning about six indoor antennas I can concluded that the performance of any antenna depends on your location and the signal strenth from the transmission tower. Not what everyone is saying. It\s a hit and miss turkey shoot. You have to keep trying. My GE Optima antenna was 6 years old, fell off of the top of the TV several times and the antenna rods were boken to at least half of their original length, but it still worked better than all of the others. GE Optima TV24714. Google it. The 94714 is no longer made, so I ordered the new TV24714. Now I am happy. Reception is better than with my old unit and I can pick up a few new channels.

Summary: my challenging basement apt is too much for it
Yes, I live in a basement apt, and should not expect great reception. BUT...it really didn\t do very well at all. I have re-connected my Radio Shack amplified ears to the Winegard amp box, and that does it very well. but the Winegard SS-3000 not sits useless. Maybe I\ll figure out how to connect BOTH of them up to the TV....that might work. Ever since the World Trade Centre fell, with its wonderful transmission tower, and all broadcast has moved to the Empire State Bldg, and Rock Centre for NBC, my reception has been poor. With the shift to digital, and the lack of boost-of-signal from the broadcasters, now instead of \fuzzy\...which I could live with...I get \No Program\ or pixelated mush. anyway...mated with the Winegard amp box, my Radio Shack ears do fine. But Winegard alone, didn\t do it.
