| Summary: GREAT little antenna!! | ||
| I recently installed this antenna with a AP-8700 preamp. FANTASTIC combination! This antenna has MUCH better performance than the one it replaced that was nearly TWICE as long! I now get 50 mile range stations solid as a rock even during storms. And I get a couple UHF stations that are over 70 miles away. The VHF side is also working VERY well. I\m now watching a new VHF station that\s more than 120 miles away!! I like the fact that Winegard products are still made proudly in the USA! And the engineering skills of John Winegard are second to none! I bought the antenna for $68.95 and the preamp for $38 from Solid Signal.com GREAT ANTENNA and preamp!!!! | ||

| Summary: The Winegard HD7695P works excellently in my locale | ||
| The HD7695P is the second in the Winegard HD769_P series (7694, 7695, 7696 7697, and 7698) which are uni-directional, combo UHF/VHF antennas said to be engineered especially for upper band VHF together with UHF to cover channels 7 through 69. They are non-amplified and include baluns with 75 ohm downlead connections. The catchment width is 36 degrees for the 7694, 7695 and 7696 models, wider for the other two. I bought the HD7695P, which is about 7 and a half feet long and weighs less than 10 lbs. All the broadcast towers in my area (which is geographically flat) are conveniently clustered within two miles of each other at an average 22 miles away from me, and within 2 compass degrees of each other. My ceilings are fairly high, and I have actually hung the thing inside (no amplification) on twine from the ceiling beams, pointed more or less at a median compass reading for the several towers. In probably a case of overkill, I connected it to the TV with a 25-ft. quad-shielded coax (more expensive than the usual double-shielded cable). I now get uninterrupted and crystal clear reception of all the digital channels on my HD digital set. (Not the case previously with rabbit ears). I ordered the HD7695P via the web from Winegard Direct, for $118 with shipping. Shipping was quick. | ||
