Lately we have been dealing with an increasing number of attempts to manipulate antennas ranking. Note: each person is allowed to post one and only one review for each antenna model. Exceptions can be made only under special circumstances when the reviewer feels that his earlier review must be corrected.
We have a sophisticated manipulation detection system in place and we will not tolerate any attempt to game the system and mislead consumers and our visitors. We reserve the right to delete any review that we feel is misleading or inappropriate and do that at our sole discretion. Thanks for understanding.
Also, from now on we require all reviews to be at least 100 words long. Short reviews, such as "a piece of junk" or "works as advertised" are not very helpful. Consider specifying more details. Elaborate on your location, the equipment you are using, reception quality of specific channels in your area. Check the word counter at the bottom when writing.

| Summary: This antenna is too directional to pick up signals on either side well. | ||
| I purchased this antenna with the hope it would solve the problem of weak signal pick up from Washington, D.C. which is only 35 miles away when it is supposed to be rated for 60 miles. I still am having pixelation and picture freezing on many channels and I am using an amplifier on the antenna as well as a rotator. What is needed in my area is an antenna that has good long distance and a wide angle of pick up of signal strength at the same time. Winegard told me I can not have both at the same time. It is hard to believe that engineers haven't solved this problem! | ||

| I have the 7080 installed on a chimney in 2001, the current HD model appears to be the same. The antenna is well-built, and has delivered strong signals on VHF, UHF and FM. I do use a CM7777 pre-amplifier, because the signal into the VCR was weak on channel 50. | ||

| I've owned Winegard antennas and installed them for others for the last twenty years(back when these were the "Chromstar" line)I have NEVER been dissapointed in their performance and neither have my customers! Forget the "gimmick" antennas and the HDTV hyped cheapies. Get on the roof and do it the right way and you will be more than ready for HDTV!! | ||
