| Summary: You can get much better for less | ||
| Before we go any further, you should know that TERK buys this antenna from Winegard. It is the old Winegard PR-7042, and you can get it for less than HALF the price that TERK charges. Admittedly, TERK does provide mounting hardware with this antenna that Winegard does not, but it hardly represents any kind of bargain. This antenna is a a big one, and frankly, it doesn't belong in anyone's attic! If you put it in an attic, bring along a shoehorn, or a chainsaw, because you'll need one or the other to get it in most attics. Since house construction and materials vary so widely, it is unfair to judge the reception quality of any antenna by attic-mounting it. It's almost impossible to aim an antenna this large in an attic, and there are way too many variables to say that poor reception is the fault of the antenna. If you are going to buy one of these antennas, please understand that it needs to be mounted outdoors, up high, and free of close obstructions. This advice is true for any antenna designed for outdoor use. Having said that, how is it's performance? Well, it's OK, but not stellar. It's construction is good, but not as good as the Winegard HD line of antennas, and it's gain and directivity are slightly below the best comparable-sized antennas like a Channel Master Crossfire 3671 or a Winegard HD-7084P. When you combine it's middling performance with it's unconscionably high price, it isn't much of a bargain. | ||

| Summary: In garage attic 30 miles from downtown and pulls GREAT | ||
| I have this antenna combined with a Motorola HD receiver and I get amazing clarity with it. If you're going to put it in an attic, however, make sure to get the dimensions of the antenna and have the room for it because it's a big'n. | ||

| Summary: WOW Worth every cent spent. Orgazmic reception. | ||
| Culpeper, Virginia..... I'm in the middle and 50+ miles from Charlottesville, VA, Richmond, VA, Washington, DC, And Haggerstown, MD and I get ALL the stations and digital sub-stations with the new converter box. REMARKABLE! Also 1 Baltomore, MD station over 100 miles away and on cloudy evenings even more! Almost as many choices as I had paying for satilite all these years. Well worth the set-up time. | ||

| Summary: bummer | ||
| I bought this after the antenna I had was damaged in a storm ,I had a channel master and was getting 9+ channels with it.After gettting the terk together and putting it up with new sat.cable a rotator I get 4 channels and only one thats good.And this is with a signal amplifier.
I checked all the connections and they are sound.So I called terk for advice,.After being on hold for 15-20 minutes.The Tech that answered the phone did not ask questions or answer mine,Simply said SO SAD TO BAD.And hung up.I would not buy this antenna and expect any help from terk (based on my experience). I guess its time to pull it down and get another channel master. |

| Summary: Terk Technology Is Undeniably The Best | ||
| This antenna is the best. It pull's in stations that I could not receive with my old one. I would recommend an antenna booster, they are around sixty dollars at Radio Shack (I could not find one at Amazon) but they do work really well. I would also recommend Philips Programmable Antenna Rotator with Remote Control I found at Walmart. There were two prongs that were bent and the instructions were terrible at best, but the overall product is worth every cent. | ||
