Rating: 5 (excellent) Nickname: anonymous Date: 2011-05-20
Summary: awesome
had one for about 10 years in san jose, broke it when we moved. works awesome unless you have to move it. breaks easily. I mounted it 30\ up a mast in the back yard, with binding ties, and pipe clamps. With a rotor, and 100\ rg6 satellite wire, we got about 45 channels on a good day. the average was consistant was closer to 40. although not all were in english, but thats another story. now looking for parts to fix, or a replacement. i like the look, it doesnt appear to be an ugly tv antenna. also works great for fm radio. just keep in mind plastic in the sun doesnt like to be moved once it is in place.

Rating: 2 (poor) Nickname: Matt Date: 2007-07-30
Summary: Don't recommend it
I used this antenna in Houston, TX. It is said to be an indoor/outdoor antenna. The problem is that it's not tough enough for outdoors and too bulky for indoors. You also have to mount it on a wall, which for a DIRECTIONAL antenna is not exactly what you want to do.

Terk TV-55R Review #2
Rating: 2 (poor) Nickname: Tigerbangs Date: 2007-03-06
Summary: This bi-directional antenna is expensive and not suited to most installations
Terk sells this antenna to people who want to mount it either indoors, where it is an abomination, or outdoors where it can be inconspicuously mounted under an eave. This antenna may work for close-in digital reception (10-20 miles), but it has drawbacks. It is expensive for what you get, and it has limited ability to reject ghosts, multipath and does little to help weak signals. Unless the antenna is mounted broadside to the transmitters, it is of only marginal usefulness, and it's UHF performance, where most digital stations lie, is poor. Buy it if you must, but, remember, you were warned!
