Rating: 4 (good) Nickname: Gordo Date: 2011-10-19
Summary: Not totally disappointed with it.
Ive had this antenna running for a couple of weeks now. Although the instructions indicate its a directional antenna Im finding Im getting signals in a multi pattern. The only issue I have is with multi path from planes as Im on the flight path to YVR. If I could solve that issue I would be totally happy. Im pulling in all but one local channel plus getting strong signals from the Bellingham stations. The PBS in Bellingham I wished was stronger. Wished I could raise it higher to see if that would stop my multi path issues. On the whole if you can find this antenna at a reasonable price I would go for it.

Summary: Not very useful
I recently bought the Terk TV55 from an online site. It was only $25 so I jumped on it. You ever hear that phrase, You get what you pay for? Well, I think I did. It is a hastle to set up. You have to attach some mount depending on the way you want to mount it. I tried inside and it didnt get all the channels I had before with my little $9 indoor antenna. I climbed up on the roof and it attached to my old Direct Tv perch(after I removed the dish) and still not alot of stations. I removed it and went back to my old antenna and got all the old stations back. No I have to package it all back up and find someone who will take it off my hands for the same price.

Summary: NOT AS GOOD AS RABBIT EARS - DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY!
VERY POOR: I TRIED, REPEATEDLY TO GET SIGNAL ON A NEW PANASONIC 42\ HD SET. I GOT 1 CHANNEL IN MILWAUKEE. IN DESPIRATION, I INSTALLED A RABBIT EAR ANTENNA IN A CLOSET - NO AMPLIFIER. THE RABBIT EARS PULLED IN 13 CHANELS CRYSTAL CLAER, NO PROBLEM. THE PARENT COMPANY (AUDIOVOX) CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THIS PRODUCT IS NOT THERE EITHER. I WOULD NEVER CONSIDER THIS PRODUCT TO BE ANY KIND OF SOLUTION, IN FACT, IT CREATED MORE PROBLEMS AND LESS RESULTS, AT THE HIGHEST COST. THIS PRODUCT MORE LIKE A SCAM THAN A GOOD PRODUCT. THIS THING SHOULD BE PULLED FROM THE MARKET

Terk TV-55 Review #3
Rating: 1 (very poor) Nickname: Derf Date: 2009-04-04
Summary: A rather expensive dissapointment.
We got this antenna about 3 years ago for $100 at BestBuy. At first the Terk TV-55 seemed okay mounted outside as a replacement for an ancient antenna that had been remarkable until its death. But after about 3 months we couldn't seem to get acceptable reception. We tried several rearrangements which didn't work, then finally brought it inside and mounted it in the laundry room in front of the window. At times we can prop a roll of paper towels to reangle it, but it seems sensitive to slight variations, with low tolerance. I would never recommend this product for purchase.

Rating: 5 (excellent) Nickname: anonymous Date: 2009-01-29
Summary: Very Pleased with HD Reception
I went through 3 indoor HD antennas before buying the Terk 55. It was easy to mount and hook up to our HD TV. The amplified signal and correct outdoor location made all the difference: we finally have clear consistent HD reception. I recommend it.
