Summary: Excellent Product
I would recommend this antenna to all.Now depending on where you live & on what your local stations provide, I get excellent signal using DTV(digital television). All the local HD channels are very clear, of course, some HD channels are 480,720 but the clear ones are 1080.In order to get HD channels ,you need a HDTV of course. A standard tv will only get you the fuzzy locals(u don't want that).Setup is very easy ,about 20-30 minutes. For the people that have rated this product bad, maybe it was installed wrong, poor cable was used or just the location.Long Live Locals(HD)....

Rating: 5 (excellent) Nickname: anonymous Date: 2008-07-03
Summary:
The antenna is an excellent choice. I am 70 miles from many local stations in different directions. The amplifier allows the antenna to receive from different directions well. I did not install the antenna on the dish because that was not high enough, I installed the antenna in a tall tree. It is too bad that the instructions do not tell you that the antenna can be installed remote from the dish, often sat users dish is installed very low, hence negative reviews for them. The weatherproofing of the antenna is superrior to other antennas I have had, I am well satisfied with this antenna.

Rating: 1 (very poor) Nickname: anonymous Date: 2007-11-18
Summary: Waste of time and money, stay away from this antenna!
I received 1 HD channel with this antenna at 70% strength. I can receive 10 HD channels with an indoor rabbit ear non-amplified antenna. In fact I disconnected the coax cable at the antenna and I actually got better reception. There is something very wrong with this product when I can get better reception with rabbit ears in my basement than with this thing mounted outside on my roof. Very disappointed in this product. I have a Terk non applified rabbit ears antenna and it works great.

Terk TV-42 Review #3
Rating: 4 (good) Nickname: anonymous Date: 2007-02-22
Summary: Very good but not excellent
In the suburbs of Dallas, this unit works well. We are able to get most of the local channels to supplement our DirecTV channels. There isn't as much adjustment as we would like but we are satisfied with the overall performance. It does much better than the powered indoor antenna that we had been using. We wouldn't recommend it for more rural users because we don't think it would pull in distant stations.

Rating: 5 (excellent) Nickname: anonymous Date: 2007-04-14
Summary: Works just as I wanted
I bought this antenna to supplement my Direct TV, as not all of my local channels were offered in HD via the satellite. I receive all of the local channels with >95% signal strength. It also integrated easily with the Direct TV service and box (HR-20), with all of the channels available on the guide. I should mention that I live in a residential neighborhood without any large buildings, etc that could interfere with reception.
