Lately we have been dealing with an increasing number of attempts to manipulate antennas ranking. Note: each person is allowed to post one and only one review for each antenna model. Exceptions can be made only under special circumstances when the reviewer feels that his earlier review must be corrected.

Summary: Good Antenna, Short cord
I'm one of the few who refuse to get cable. So when I bought a new HDTV & did a little research, I came across the Samsung TV5.4 SAX Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna. With a regular rabbit ear antenna, I was ble to get like 15 HDTV channels. Once I connected the Samsung TV5.4 I received about 24 HDTV channels from most of surrounding area, including Baltimore. I'm a big PBS fan & now I get like 6 differen HDTV PBS channels so I'm happy. Only issue with the antenna is that it's cord is really short. I had to buy a coupler so that I could connect another cord to extend its reach. So if you buy it just be prepared to spend another $20 or so for extending its reach.

this antenna sucks. even if you hook up a amp. to it. I bought this antenna with a amp. Everytime I wanted to change the channel I had to move the antenna for 5 min.

Summary: Great Indoor HDTV Antenna
I purchased this antenna to pick up local off-air HDTV broadcasts. Previously, we had access to high definition broadcasts via DirecTV. However, there are a number of HDTV off-air broadcasts (most notably Fox and multiple PBS offerings) that are not available on DirecTV. After confirming that our home was a mere 15 miles from the broadcast site of all the relevant stations (the web-site, http://www.antennaweb.org, has information on signal strength, etc.), I thought I would try an amplified indoor antenna. I should also note that we can actually see the broadcast antenna from our home. The Samsung antenna was easily attached to my HDTV receiver, and then it took a mere 1-2 minutes for the receiver to recognize the various off-air digital stations. The picture looks great, so I am completely happy w/ the Samsung antenna. (In a test of signal strength, all the stations w/in 15 miles report 100% strength; the couple of stations a few miles further away come in at 93%).
