Summary: works ok with foil and box
this antenna works better than the 2 radio shack antennas and amplified rca antenna, but it needed some aluminum foil and has to sit on 3 small boxes i duct taped together in order to receive all channels. sometimes i lose signal for a short time, but if i stay still, it comes back. good value for the price.

Summary: Worse than the rabbit ears that came with my TV
I bought this antenna thinking it would do better than the rabbit ears on my TV, but to my horror, it was worse! I tried all sorts of settings, directions, pointing the antennas in different poses and all sorts. No difference. I eventually returned it. What a disappointment.

Summary: I bought this first and should have left it alone!
I'm in a basement, and I'm pretty sure that all the studs are steel. The reception is very bad...I have to go outside to talk on my cell phone or I'll get cut off. Sometimes calls won't even come through! So I wanted to watch TV, but I don't watch enough to justify buying cable, so I bought this antenna. Boom, 11 channels. Some weren't very clear, but that's understandable considering my situation, and it was still light years ahead of what I had. Then I had the crazy idea to get better reception with different antennas. I tried classic bunny ears mounted outside in a tree. It worked, but adjusting the ears became a chore. I tried the Philips MNT310F, which has a 32dB amplifier. I got the same results as the ANT121. I brought the Philips back because of the cheap construction. I wasted a day trying to beat this puppy. I'm curious to see how it would work above ground.

Summary: Works GREAT in Plano, TX
Picked one up at the local Big-Box electronic store. Plugged it in and I get Great reception. I am picking up 23 stations from a second story home in North Plano, TX.

Summary: Unbelievable HD picture
I subscribe to satelite TV and unfortunately, I cannot get FOX nor CBS in HD through my provider. I had this cheap antenna in a closet from 3 years ago that I temporarily used for regular TV. I found this website searching for a good off-air HDTV antena and realized I had this antenna in my closet. I just plugged it in and I can get all the local channels in HD PERFECTLY, except NBC. Luckily I can already get NBC in HD through my satelite provider. I can't believe it...and just in time for the NFL playoffs!
