Add Your Review
Lately we have been dealing with an increasing number of attempts to manipulate antennas ranking. Note: each person is allowed to post one and only one review for each antenna model. Exceptions can be made only under special circumstances when the reviewer feels that his earlier review must be corrected.
We have a sophisticated manipulation detection system in place and we will not tolerate any attempt to game the system and mislead consumers and our visitors. We reserve the right to delete any review that we feel is misleading or inappropriate and do that at our sole discretion. Thanks for understanding.
Also, from now on we require all reviews to be at least 100 words long. Short reviews, such as "a piece of junk" or "works as advertised" are not very helpful. Consider specifying more details. Elaborate on your location, the equipment you are using, reception quality of specific channels in your area. Check the word counter at the bottom when writing.

| Summary: great reception - 100 mile and strong |
| put it up 48 hours ago antenae is located on a boom ten feet above roof, on ywo story house. I live in southern iowa. Now I am picking up numerous channels in Des Moines, over 70 miles away and one over 100 miles. Brought in 19 channels total. Kirkville Mo and Des Moines Iowa.. I tried the antanea without the amplifier and no reception, you absolutely must have amplifier hooked up or antenae does not work. As far as water, I had the smaller walmart sqaure version hooked up for two year, it did not pull in as many stations and two years later, did fill with water.. I can see how water can get into the walmart antenae, I cannot see hwo water will get into the phillips easily, guess I will find out.. 48 hours into it and best antenae thus far... |

| Summary: Water builds up in antenna boom housing! |
| I would like to say the antenna has great reception, No problem their.
It only has one short fall, Water gets into antenna booms.
Their was at least cup in both booms. I went to replace the cable on the system and took the antenna down along with it and I heard water sloshing inside the booms, this may become a small problem if you are in a climate that gets cold to freezing.
If that problem can be fixed I will put the antenna back up.
I have had the antenna up all season and it did perform well though do not let it discourage any one though, the picture is 9 out of 10.
Just a little more info on reception, with the magnavox digital to analog receiver I got all channels in my area in equal to 20 plus channels

| Summary: Crap |
| I got 2 whole channels and I\m pretty close to the transmitters. I will try adding an amp, but I may go with another brand all together.
I tried both inside and outside. Absolutely no change. I got it and something sounded loose on the inside as well. something metallic rolling around. I will probably try the winegard and some point.
Although cool looking, poor performance. I would not recommend this one at all.
I live in an apartment complex on the 3rd floor. I directly face many of the towers as well. |

| Summary: Very Good...We got more than we bargained for |
| We tried a Terk indoor antenna and just got a few stations and it was breaking up a lot and it has to be moved a lot to get a good reception.
When we got this, we were supposed to get only 17 stations (according to the Antennaweb.org)...based on our location (52.2 miles from the stations??). However, we have more than 50 stations and it is very clear. We just have to reposition it once in a while. We haven\t mounted it yet...still laying around at the TV level. We haven\t decided where to mount it...indoor or outside.
We got this at Frys for $99.90. |

| Summary: works ok most days |
| have this antenna mounted on a wall inside my house...am about 50+ miles from Green Bay:over all this antenna works ok. some days i get some breakup in signal, but i can\t complain for the distance i am from a tv station and the mounting location. running an analog tv with converter box.
buy it and try it, is all i can say. if it does not work return it to the store, and in most cases they will take it back. good luck |
