Summary: Best indoor antenna Ive used
I get all the channels within 30 miles, only one is line of sight. To properly tune the amp if you want max UHF use min VHF and max VHF use min UHF. Of course the amplifier needs power, that is the nature of amplifiers. Without the amp I get the 23 mile LOS channel and maybe a couple others, nut I have hills in the way so I expect to use the amp. Summary: Did not perform to expectations
You are better off using old fashion rabbit ears than this antenna. I live within 15 miles from TV transmission towers and this antenna was having issues picking up the signals. Now this was only true about VHF stations. The UHF station came in without any issues. A standard set of rabbit ears worked better. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this product. If this antenna doesn’t have power supplied to it’s amp it will not work. This product my look nice but doesn’t perform to expectations. I would expect better quality from Magnavox.I have decided to go with a directional antenna outside and I’m happier with the results.
