Summary: Good Antenna
The cable company had risen prices beyond what I was willing to pay for local channels, so I decided to try out an antenna to see what I could get. I bought this antenna from Target, not expecting much since I hadn't seen any OTA channels in a very long time. At the reception seemed horrible and nothing was coming in, but then I decided to let the TV scan for all of the channels. It found all but 1 of the digital channels that are broadcast OTA. The last channel that it can't get it most likely because the tower is on the other side of my appartment building, not the fault of the antenna. I would recommend this antenna to anyone, but I haven't tried any others, so I can't say whether its the best for its size/price.

GE 24775 Review #2
Rating: 1 (very poor) Nickname: Obidar The Obtuse Date: 2008-07-26
Summary: Yea Right
I bought this antenna based on its concept and this site's reviews. I used it with an AverMedia Volar Max Hybrid usb stick tuner. The Volar comes with a "mini-antenna" that looks like a pez dispenser with 5-inch rabbit ears. With the pez dispenser I could get 6 of the 9 digital OTA broadcasts antenna web said were available. I thought: with the GE Star Trek antenna I should be able to have it all. Apparently not. In the same position in which the pez dispenser got 6, the GE got ONE. I moved the GE around and was able to get 8 of 9 on the 1st day. But on the 2nd day, I wasn't getting the same results. To cut to the chase, here is my final answer: the amplification interferes with reception. Period. The electromagnetic field emanating from the current flow in some cases actually interferes with the incoming signal. I TOOK THE GE BACK FOR A REFUND. In the position in which the GE got 8/9 the pez dispenser gets 9/9 each and every day. Somewhere I encountered this opinion (my words): "hi-tech amplified HDTV-touted antennas are a SCAM. They don't work any better than cheap rabbit-ear antennas." My experiences supports this. Of course, YMMV.

GE 24775 Review #3
Rating: 3 (average) Nickname: CrazyEyes Date: 2008-07-21
Summary: Overall a decent antenna
This antenna works well for stations that are relatively close by (Within 15 miles), but for anything beyond that you'll need a directional outdoor antenna

GE 24775 Review #4
Rating: 4 (good) Nickname: anonymous Date: 2008-06-15
Summary: worked well, but no better than my cheapy $15 bunny ears
Don't get me wrong, this antenna worked as advertised, but being on the 8th floor it didn't improve my watching experience over my cheap rca bunny ears, but on the 8th floor... nothing works great. (based on the minimum difference, I returned this antenna.
