Lately we have been dealing with an increasing number of attempts to manipulate antennas ranking. Note: each person is allowed to post one and only one review for each antenna model. Exceptions can be made only under special circumstances when the reviewer feels that his earlier review must be corrected.
We have a sophisticated manipulation detection system in place and we will not tolerate any attempt to game the system and mislead consumers and our visitors. We reserve the right to delete any review that we feel is misleading or inappropriate and do that at our sole discretion. Thanks for understanding.
Also, from now on we require all reviews to be at least 100 words long. Short reviews, such as "a piece of junk" or "works as advertised" are not very helpful. Consider specifying more details. Elaborate on your location, the equipment you are using, reception quality of specific channels in your area. Check the word counter at the bottom when writing.

| Summary: Good value for the money, but... | ||
| Ordered the CM4221 online from Crutchfield, a retailer I've good experience with in the past. The package arrived a week later via UPS in a seriously crushed condition. The cardboard box the antenna came in had nothing in the way of packing or support to prevent the unit from rattling around lose. As I took it out of the box, it was all bent up and one of the plastic insulators was broken in two. Wearing leather gloves, and with the aid of pliers, I straightened it out as best I could, and I mended the broken insulator with a nylon tie and a narrow strip of duct tape. Now the antenna works well and pulls in all my local stations, but it has sort of a "recycled" look, being bent up and all. My wife insisted that I mount it back behind the garage roof, so that the neighbors won't be thinking that we use an antenna I found in some dumpster. | ||

| Recovered an old CM4221 (rusty) from an old farm house. Connected to my Digital Stream HDTV set top tunner. Recieving FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and ION stations 60 miles away thru the Endless Mountains of North East PA. I've tried newer designs with nothing comming near this performance. | ||

| Summary: great investment | ||
| I'm located in a blue area according to antenna web but I'm 25 miles from the transmitter and this thing is rated for 45 miles so I dropped $45 @ Fry's Electronics and stuck it in the 2nd story attic. Receive 6 of 9 digital channels crystal clear, not getting PBS tho which I'm bummed about. Debating whether to add 2nd 4221 pointed towards PBS trans (4 degree rotation) or get the bigger 4228. Any suggestions? | ||

| I'm only 7 miles from the transmitters and I can see them from my rooftop but I never expected to pull in 60 channels. | ||
