Summary: The Advantage series of Channel Master antennas are underperformers
The Channel Master Advantage 3016 is an inexpensive all-channel outdoor antenna suitable for use in strong signal areas. It is not particularly well constructed, but is widely available, and is a comparable alternative to the cheaper Radio Shack outdoor antennas

ChannelMaster CM3016 Review #1
Rating: 4 (good) Nickname: mikey Date: 2007-10-18
Summary: Good value ; Easy set-up; Recieves all major network HD channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX & CW
I have winter ski house in the Catskill mountains. The transmitters are ~35 mile away in Albany area. Mast is about 30 above ground level. Although the signal strength is medium to side (hey there are some big mountains in the way), I still get all the major network HD channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX & CW) no problem.

ChannelMaster CM3016 Review #2
Rating: 5 (excellent) Nickname: pschneider Date: 2007-02-15
Summary: beats distance rating
I Bought an "open box" CM 3016 online from Solid Signal for $23.99 plus $16.95 shipping. I live 80 miles north of Dallas/Ft. Worth and 21 and 44 miles south of the transmitter towers for Sherman and Denison, Texas and Ada Oklahoma. The CM 3016 receives very solid signals both UHF and VHF channels from both the 21 mile distance and 44 mile distance. Picture quality from these 5 local channels was perfect. The 80 miles to the Dallas/Ft. Worth stations was too great. I was unable to get either UHF or VHF stations to display any image on my TV. TV is a new P50HDTV10A with included ATSC tuner. I have no obstructions or building interference to transmitters. My antenna is in the attic.

ChannelMaster CM3016 Review #3
Rating: 5 (excellent) Nickname: anonymous Date: 2008-05-01
Summary: decent quality
I have had this antenna for 4 yrs now the construction is adequate I have it installed with a rotor & amplifier. On analog I receive channels nearly 100 miles away from the piedmont to the carolina coast & some South Carolina channels. On Digital however not as good the digital channels I receive are great but much closer. I have tried cheaper antennas but the construction not so good stay away from any Radio Shack they will blow apart in a short time. One company that this website does not mention is Antennacraft. You can't beat the construction of these & they are under-rated. Channel Master is becoming short lived I live near the plant & only a few people now still work. The best 2 sites I have found to purchase online from is Solidsignal & Summitsource. both are price comparitive but Solidsignal shipping is cheaper.

ChannelMaster CM3016 Review #4
Rating: 5 (excellent) Nickname: eli whitney Date: 2007-06-12
Summary: Sturdy Construction / Ease of Assembly / Great Reception Power
This is very suitable for any outside installation within 20 - 40 air miles of broadcasting towers. Have used this now for over a year & have had no problems - our area has (24) O.T.A. channels and this does them all, without any amplifier or rotor. F.Y.I. -- tried but did NOT work inside attic.
