Summary: Best Indoor Antenna
As I have no option for an outdoor antenna, I am only able to use an indoor antenna. For an entire year I used a Zenith Silver Sensor and it worked just fine. Great reception, but it was sometimes unstable and I'd have to fiddles with placement every couple of days. Not a big deal, but still could be annoying. Finally bought the DB2 (identical to the CM4220) and now I have the same channels but without having to fiddle with the placement of the antenna.

Summary: Works great when pointed right.
I am on the top floor of a 6 story concrete building. I tried the antenna mounted basically flat on a window. My signal levels were not any better then i could get out of a older model amplified Philips indoor antenna, even worse on some channels. For the heck of it, I pivoted the antenna up so it lied flat under the ceiling with the ears on the top and the antenna woke right up to a point that i expected after reading the reviews on it. I am getting 80 - 90 on channels 2,4,7 and around 70 on 29 and 49. The PBS channels are the weakest and vary the most down to the mid fifties. I may need to fine tune it some more to get dependable reception on PBS when the weather gets worse. It was a little rainy when i tested it so the levels may increase a little when the weather improves. I'm very happy with it so far considering some of the station are 140 degrees apart and the antenna does not look too bad the way it is mounted. The high definition broadcasts look great on my non-hd 36" Sony Wega with a Magnavox converter box. It sure beats analog signals off a antenna.

Summary: mounted on our sailboat's radar mast
WE mounted this on our 30 ft. sailboat's radar mast. It works great! In conjunction with a 12 volt analog to digital converter box. Our small flat screen TV gets at least 7 channels. The picture is just like cable! Even with the boat swinging at a mooring, the stations were locked on. There was no snow, ghosting or loss of reception. We are only 30 miles from the television station towers, but I have NEVER experienced this clarity of picture and reception with analog over the air broadcast on a boat! Digital rules and this antenna makes it happen!

Summary: This antenna is really great.
| It is much more sensitive that the fanciest 25dB or even 50dB amplified indoor antennas I have tried.
I use it indoor, just in front of the window. I used a medium grade RG59 25ft cable ( $4 at Biglots).
Although I can point the antenna toward heading 300o-330o ( from where most of the UHF stations in the area emits), I expected to have some reception problems because there are tall trees ( about 30 – 40ft ) just between me and the towers.
However, the signal is amazing. I am able to have relatively strong ( between 66% and 90% ) and stable signal from all stations up to 45 miles distance.
However, the signal is too week from stations located at 60 miles or more.
The only down side: any signal in VHF is practically zero. Fortunately in my case is only one ( so far).
It is true that I use this antenna in conjunction with a Zenith DTT900 converter bow, which is also a nice piece of electronics. I know, because I tried other two; but DTT900 is really the best.
