Lately we have been dealing with an increasing number of attempts to manipulate antennas ranking. Note: each person is allowed to post one and only one review for each antenna model. Exceptions can be made only under special circumstances when the reviewer feels that his earlier review must be corrected.
We have a sophisticated manipulation detection system in place and we will not tolerate any attempt to game the system and mislead consumers and our visitors. | I BOUGHT 2 OF THE HBU55 ANTENNAS PUT THEM UP ABOUT 5 FOOT APART AND USED THE SAME LENGTH CABLE BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM RUNNING TO A COMBINER, I HAVE ONE POINTING TOWARD RALEIGH, NC AND THE OTHER POINTING TOWARD GREENVILLE/WASHINGTON/NEW BERN NC. THEY REALLY WORK GREAT AND DONT HAVE TO USE A ROTATOR. ONE IS POINTING TO THE WEST AND THE OTHER TO THE SOUTH SOUTH EAST. FANTASTIC ANTENNAS. THIS ANTENNA IS NOT QUITE AS LARGE AS OTHERS THAT ARE OFFERED BUT REALLY DOES A NICE JOB FOR ME. GLAD I AM NOT USING A ROTATOR.REALLY NICE NOT TO HAVE TO TURN THE ANTENNAS. | ||

| My brother has a Hbu33 and pulls in 35 channels in a wooded area.. So for christmas once i told my wife about that. She bought me the HBu55 anttena which is the big brother to the hbu33.. I mounted it on a 20 footpool... Where i live in the central valleya.i get 40 channels and the high at night i get 50.. This is with no amp. The thing i was impressed about is that i get sacremento Kcra 3 .. That station is around 120 miles away.. I also got one from sf about 120.. The one that amazed me i got one from Bakerfield Ca Fox It was over 150miles away.. Like i said this is with no amp... I tried a 18db amp .. I noticed that all my signals were in the blue with that.. So i took it back to walmart and Ordered a 30db amp.. Cant wait to see..... | ||

| I notice the box says chanels 7-69. ABC is chanel 5.1 in our area and I cannot receive it at all. There is no detection. Oddly enough, I am able to get NBC which is chanel 4.1 in my area, so the 7-69 chanels makes no sense. I am an ameteur so I may be missing something. The other chanels available pick up great, but why not ABC? All the chanels are about 75 miles from my rural location with flat landscape and no tall structures in between. Considering returning it to Radio Shack and getting another brand. | ||
