Lately we have been dealing with an increasing number of attempts to manipulate antennas ranking. Note: each person is allowed to post one and only one review for each antenna model. Exceptions can be made only under special circumstances when the reviewer feels that his earlier review must be corrected.

We have a sophisticated manipulation detection system in place and we will not tolerate any attempt to game the system and mislead consumers and our visitors. We reserve the right to delete any review that we feel is misleading or inappropriate and do that at our sole discretion. Thanks for understanding.

Also, from now on we require all reviews to be at least 100 words long. Short reviews, such as "a piece of junk" or "works as advertised" are not very helpful. Consider specifying more details. Elaborate on your location, the equipment you are using, reception quality of specific channels in your area. Check the word counter at the bottom when writing.

Summary: Very Good for Omni
My in-laws needed an outdoor antenna. I wanted to avoid a rotary due to their age because I didnt want then to get aggravated having to constantly change the direction. That is because they live between 3 different TV markets with transmitters in all directions from them. I mounted it just a foot or two above the top of their roof. Although it is an omni-directional antenna, I found that playing with its orientation yielded different results. I found what I considered a good orientation and locked it down. They can get stations from from all directions at about 60 miles away. So overall I am rather pleased.

Summary: same story , love the hdms9100 antenna, thank god , no more cable bills
same story as the other two reviewers, i bought the hdms9100 antenna about a year ago, i have made no modifications at all. it is up in my attic , out of the weather so weather doesnt affect it and it dosent suffer from wear and tear outside. the trick is the higher the better. anyway i love this antenna . i get 20 channels , 18 of them crystal clear and i dont even have to adjust the antenna, which you can if you need to easily with the remote control!!! this antenna has saved me a lot of money. Sure i dont get the specalty chanels but i dont care, mostly reruns anyway. My tv is hd capable and this antenna brings in hd digital channels crystal clear! No more 50$ 60$ dollars a month . Sure with cable/satalite you can get 100 , 200 channels , who needs that many channels? Im happy with what i have and dont have ( no monthly bill ) and weather isnt a problem with it in my attic. One of the best purchases ive ever made , ssshhhh dont tell the cable company or they might find a way to make them illegal , lol

Summary: this review is actually for the hdms9100 which is the next generation of this antenna family
best antenna I have ever owned, but you can make it even better... instead of feeding it directly into the TV from the channel box, I put it through a ground loop isolator, then fm trap, then cb/ham filter, then low noise amplifer 18db gain, 1db noise and finally a high pass filter. NOTICABLE improvement especially in the VHF. ALL weather I get 14 channels, GOOD weather I get 47 channels. If you own one of these do what I did it is worth it. TVFOOL.com said I should get about 8 channels. I tossed the high gain 91xg I had...not as much gain but better control with less playing around.

Summary: HDMS9100 Versatile Rotator Antenna
There is no selection for the above antenna so I selected this one with the hope that the people who monitor this site will move this review to it\s proper location, so, I live in Toronto West end, and i\ve never had a rooftop antenna, had satellite since \04, cable before that, but I just couldn\t justify paying $68/mth so I did my homework and choose the Antennacraft HDMS9100, got preamp, and rotator built in, the rotator has 16 settings, had it mounted on an 8ft mast, which is held on a tripod and bolted on the peak of my roof. I receive 20 channels, toronto and buffalo, however, i don\t receive NBC WGRZ-2 buffalo, there is absolutely no difference in picture quality, between satellite and this which is great and all channels can be optimized by the rotator for the best picture quality, this is not your father antenna from back in the day, it is a reasonable compromise to cable or satellite, in that there are no specialty or sports channels, just no frills TV, but that it does pretty good.
