zip 27048 & 87 degrees

Postby fauxcat on Fri Jan 23, 2009 1:19 pm

Hi - please bear with any inaccurate/newbie terms I use - just trying to figure out which antenna to put in my attic after Feb17th. Zip code is 27048. Per antenna web, the stations we really want post transition are at compass headings of 178 to 265 degrees, distance of 22 to 45 miles (local current channels 2,8,12,20,26,45, and 48).
We're looking at the Antenna Direct DB8, since I read somewhere that it had about a 100 degree range, and also has pretty good reviews on Amazon., but also thinking about the DB4 or Clearstream 4. Opinions?
We're going to mount it in the attic. Cable run will be probably less than 30 ft. We would prefer not to need a rotator. Thanks for your interest,

I live in zip 67449 and receive the analog signal on my antenna without a problem. I am worried that I won't be able to receive the WIBW digital signal after Feb 17th. Do you have any suggestions? I'm about 90 miles away from Topeka.

Based on what I can see, you are only 50 or so miles from the Topeka transmitters, and you shouldn't have any problems getting WIBW-DT as long as you have a proper antenna...
