I installed a winegard 8200u today on top of roof
location is 30 miles south and west of mpls st paul
I am only getting 4 channels?
it is a samsung tv
anything i can do to get more channels

Assuming that you have it aimed in the right direction, and that is a big if, chances are good that your TV set is set up to receive only cable TV signals and not over-the-air channels. Go into the main menu of the TV, look for setup, and find the selection for Air-antenna or cable, swicth the TV to Air, then rescan your tuner to find the other stations.
