I have WIMAX wireless internet, which includes an antenna that is plugged into a power box and uses POE (Power over Ethernet) to run the wimax antenna. I have the wimax mounted about 25 feet horizontally from my TV antenna. The POE cable and the coax cable come into the same mount box in the wall, and this is the only place they come close to each other.
I have always had trouble with interference on my VHF channel. Sometimes when I have the wimax powered up, my VHF channel will completely diminish and go to no signal. Once I unplug the internet line, it comes in at about 78 % signal strength.
Ive called the ISP several times, had the equipment all replaced, the wire re-run, the internet antenna moved, and nothing seems to fix this issue. They claim its not the internet that causes the issue. But as soon as I unplug the internet, my VHF channel come in, and as soon as I plug it in my VHF goes to no signal or pixalates heavily.
Sometimes it will only drop the signal by a few points, but mostly it will wipe it completely. It gets really annoying that I cant surf the web and watch channel 8 at the same time.
Has anyone heard of this? Does anyone have any suggestions?
