Weak Signal

I replaced the coax cable from the antenna to the amp power supply with new RG6U. Reception is no better than it was. I still have questions about the tree I have at other end of the house in line with the antenna. Another question does any one know if the stations will up power after the switch takes place? I have heard that they will. Jim
