WBBM CHICAGO

Postby MORON on Fri Aug 19, 2011 7:19 pm

Hung a Antennas Direct DB2 antenna indoors. Getting many channels except channel 2.1 WBBM . Live in a condo 5th. floor approx. 18 mi. straight west of downtown Chicago, where I have atenna pointed. Why can't I get WBBM?

because WBBM operates on VHF channel 12, which the DB2 doesn't see very well: you really need a small VHF antenna to get it: you might try a simple pair of rabbit ears, as often that's all that is required.

I've often wondered about WBBM, always had trouble with their over the air signal when living throughout the suburbs. Using rabbit ears, attic and roof antennas, the signal was always spotty, and the Bears used to be on that station for years. Now I wonder why they don't do something about it but considering most have cable or satellite they probably don't want to spend the money.
