Try it and see: I believe that you are far enough away from the FM transmitters to not expect problems.

I bought and installed everything you suggested and it all works beautifully! Great HD reception on all channels, INCLUDING the local FOX affiliate which is an unexpected bonus.

However, as luck would have it, my existing rotator died (luckily with the antennas pointed in the most used direction). I did a continuity check on the wires and all are okay, so I believe that the problem is the actual rotator motor at the antennas. I hate to take everything down again, but I've decided to install a GOOD rotator that will work even in cold weather (below 0F), as the current one had problems in the cold. Do you have a suggestion for me?

Thanks, again!!

A GOOD rotator is not cheap: most of the available rotators today are Chinese-made, and are not the quality that they used to be. If you want a real rugged rotator, find a Hy-Gain Ar-40 rotator: they are about $275.00, and require special 5-wire control cable, but they are the best-made rotator currently available. If that's not in the cards, try a Channel Master 9521a rotator, which is about $100.00. It's not as rugged, but is adequate for most situations.

I purchased and have now installed the CM 9521a. It works beautifully, but I am still unable to receive the local CBS station (scan, re-scan, the whole bit!). I'm actually fine without CBS, as I would rarely watch it even if I had it, but I thought I'd check with you and see if I'm doing (or not doing) something obvious.

Thanks for your help!

Dale, your CBS station lies in a completely different direction from the other stations, at roughly due EAST or 90 degrees from your location. The station is going to be weak. Channel 3 now operates on digital channel 48m so you may not have enough antenna to do the job properly, but aim the antenna at channel 48, and try to manually enter 48.1 into your remote control, and see if CBS comes in, otherwise, I suggest that we look for another antenna.

Well, I did as you suggested but still do not get a signal. After all of the new antennas, rotator and amplifier, I have to say that I'm done. I am not interested enough in CBS to pursue it further, but I must say that all of the other channels are just fantastic. High def is beautiful! Thanks for all of your help.
