Thank you for your response. I did already send the Clearstream 4 back. Would you do a different combination of things with that antenna out of the picture?

yes, I would: I would use an AntennasDirect XG-91, which, in my estimation, is the best UHF yagi-type antenna currently available in the USA: it is substantially more powerful than ClearStream 4.

Would I likely still need the rotator and the preamp with this new antenna choice? I was able to at times get both the Tacoma area KCPQ (ch 13, fox) and the Seattle area KOMO (ch 4 abc) without changing the direction of the indoor amplified antenna and the outdoor Clearstream 4. Of course, most of the time I couldn't get the Seattle area broadcast at all. Thanks again.

The larger the antenna system that you use, the more directional is it. if you want to try it, fee-free to do so, but I maske no promises. if KCPQ is your only concern, you can add a THIRD antenna (small) in the form of an AntennaCraft Y-5-7-13 aimed at KCPQ, and use a Channel Master Jointenna (model 0583) tuned for channel 13. both Amazon and Warren Electronics have those components. Using these components will be cheaper and easier than using a rotator.
