univision In High Def.

Postby bond on Thu Dec 17, 2009 8:40 pm

Hello, I visit the Playas, of Tijuana Area twice, or three times, a week. From that reference point, I'm trying to get univision in High def. which when I do a t.v. scann on my HDTV, it is channel 21, which then on my guide list becomes, channel 38-1. However, the image or signal is very weak, and will only last at the most 50 seconds, then it fades. The other option is that I get channel 17, kbnt or univision in analogue. Which comes in very, very bad.

Does, anyone know what I can do to get either signal, to come in clear?

I have a roof top antena, on the second floor, at a height of 17 feet. My antene has 16, elements, uhf-vhf. frequency of 54-890 mHZ with 10 decibal gain. It states that it's Ideal for poor reception areas, and I'm surround by a building to the east, and one to the south, put I have a pathway to the North. The house is right on the ocean, at least 20 feet from water.

Does univision have two transmitters? One in High def. and the other in analogue. I know the one in analoge, is in San Diego, but the other in high def. or 38-1, or channel 21. where is that one located? Should I be pointing my antena North-east? Or is it my antena.

Just as a side note, when I used to get univison, I also got Telemundo, Telefutura, and now no Univison?

If anyone has any inpute would really appreciate it?
thank you for taking time to read this long S.O.S.!

D

P.S. from my home in Chula Vista, I have cable, so I get channel 17, exceptionally clear. :?:
