MY TVFOOL.COM REPORT, PLEASE ADVISE...

We're currently just using one t.v. but may add more later.

We have a digital HDTV.

We are in a mobile home with a metal roof.

We get much wind up here.

Only one thin tree line that will be above the antennas height and it is to the West. A very thin line of trees in a fence row exists in that direction. Other than that, it's wide open sky.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

TDC

Yours isn't an easy situation: all of the transmitters are quite a distance away, and you have a number of VHF channels to account for. Since you'll be using only one TV set for the time being, I suggest getting as much altitude as is practical, and use a broadband antenna like a Channel Master Crossfire 3671 or a Winegard HD-7084P mounted on top of a good rotator like a Channel Master 9521a, which will allow you to select between the Nashville and the Evansville, IN stations, which are available to you. I also suggest using a good low-noise amplifier like an AntennasDirect PA-19, which will help you with some of the weakest of your stations. Based on your TVFool.com report, however, I would expect you to be successful with both the Nashville and Evansville stations. Good Luck!

My first report was made assuming a ten foot antenna mast. I made this one at 25 feet. Does this change things for me any?

it changes the signal strengths slightly, but the recommendations remain the same: you need the biggest, deepest-fringe antenna that you can get!
