Hi Tigerbangs,
I live in ZIP 44106, very close to downtown Cleveland (like 4 miles) and within a dozen miles or so to the large anntenna farm in Parma OH (according to your very useful Google map embedded on the site). I'm fed up with the $100+/mo charges on cable/sat (I've tried both and they're equally abhorrent) that I've been shelling out for years, and since my family watches maybe 10 hours TOTAL of programming a month, thought that broadcast TV might be a viable (and certainly less expensive) option.
What would be your recommendation(s)? My humble abode is a 4 story townhouse with a flat roof about 35'-40' above grade, several miles' clear line of sight to the N and W, less so to the S and E (where the farm is located).
The roof is already littered with 3 sat dishes (don't ask) and the whole house is already wired with both coax and Cat 5 in every room, so the only work (I think) necessary would be the actual antenna mounting--I was thinking the smaller footprint (airprint?) the better and hoping that given the height of the structure already and the proximity to the signal, you might concur.
Thanks in advance for your sagacious advice..................
