I have some existing Terk diplexers #BDS-P1. I would like to know if I can use 2 of them on two seperate outputs of my Zinwell 8 port satellite switch to add my attic antenna to the existing satellite RG6 cables and then diplex back to 2 wires at my TV's for satellite and Antenna?
I have purchased a Winegard HDA-200 amplifier which I would use after my attic antenna. Then split with my Skywalker 4-way Splitter for Off-air and Satellite signals (SKY23304D) to two upstairs TV's. I would then run cables 3 an 4 to the upstairs (under eave) Zinwell Satellite switch (6X8) and diplex with the Terks onto two of the existing output satellite cables to the 2 downstairs TV's. Use 2 more existing Terk Diplexers to split back out the satellite and Antenna signals.
This sounds like it would work to me, but is it a reasonable setup? I am trying to maximize my existing cabling that is installed.
I also would like to know if I should use the DC Block components (Terk TDCB) that came with the Terk diplexers? An online schematic showed that I should not with a powered antenna, so I am thinking not, but don't want to hurt any equipment.
Please review my proposed solution and let me know if this will work well
Thanks In Advance!
