N.E. Tennesse 37857

I'm trying to decide whether or not to switch back to OTA broadcast TV or not. While researching the web I went to antennaweb.org they show that I can only receive two stations. 1 uhf station (PBS) from Sneedville, TN., it was color code yellow (13 miles) which means I can pick it up with an indoor antenna, the other was a VHF station (NBC) in Bristol, VA., and was color code violet (45 miles)
When I went to antennapoint.com. they show 8 stations in my area within 45 miles of my location. to further complicate things when I went to TVfools.com and typed in my gps coordinates and distance above the ground that my antenna would be located They show more. please see this link http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapp ... 15538757b2
How do I find out if I am limited to just the 2 stations or if I am able to get more with the right equipment.
My area code is 37857 GPS coord. Lat. 36.40674 Lon. -83.05346. my antenna will be 18 to 20 ft above ground. My terrain is moderately mountainous with trees and a hill directly behind my house (North) To my West, South, and East it is fairly open for 300 feet or more and do get fairly good cell phone reception ( about 3 to 4 bars).
I guess my question is: Is the equipment that can over come these obstacles and if so what?
My TV in the living room is a Sharp LC-42D64U and has a southern exposure and is right next to the outside wall where my outside antenna will go.
My TV in the bed room is closest to the north end and is a Samsung TXK2066 CRT which I assume will need a converter box.
I welcome any and all advice. Thanks!

When you look at a TVFool.com scan, you look to see which stations are in positive Noise Margin numbers (Nm) If you are willing to install a deep-fringe antenna system, you should be able to see those stations that are in positive numbers, which number 10 stations by my count. Since WCYB-Dt operates on VHF Low-Band channel 5, you will need an antenna system that can receive low-band VHF, high-band VHF and UHF. You will also need a preamplifier and a rotator, since all of the stations lie in different directions.

Since Wade Antennas has discontinued the Delhi line of VHF antennas, the best VHF-only antenna these days is the AntennaCraft CS-1100, which should be combined with an AntennasDirect XG-91 UHF antenna mounted on the same mast, UHF antenna on top, separated by 4' from the VHF antenna. Run the outputs of the 2 antennas into a Pico-Macom UVSJ antenna joiner, then into a Winegard HDP-269 preamplifier. Mount the two antennas on a Channel Master 9521a rotator, and run both the rotator control cable and the coaxial cable into the houose, where you will connect the preamplifier power supply, then out to your TV set. This antenna system should give you everything that you are looking for.

Thanks. That helps a lot on making my decision. What about my analog TV in my bed room what will I need for it and I possibly may want to hook up my analog TV in my office?

You will need digital converters for each analog set, and will also need a 3-way splitter to divide he signal between the three sets...

I cannot locate an AntennaCraft CS1100. All sites I look at on the web say this item is no longer available. I even called AntennaCrafts sales department and they tell me that this line has been discontinued. Is there an alternative deep fringe vhf antenna that I can use?
