No Signal Available?

Postby Glen on Thu Aug 20, 2009 8:35 am

I used "antenna web" to determine what signals would be a available to me. The response was that no HDTV signals are available to me. Nothing! Is there any way that I can receive free TV anymore, or am I now forced to get a dish or cable to enjoy even local programming?

Antennaweb is often way too conservative in it's predictions. If you can post your coordinates, or PM your street addres to me, I can probably help.

Hi Glen,

Don't give up hope yet. Antennaweb told me the only station I could get at my remote cabin was a PBS station and that I would need a large directional antenna to do that. My grandson visited with broken rabbit ears (made for VHF) and got the UHF PBS station with them. After that, I discovered TV Fool which seems to offer much more realistic evaluations and suggests I'll be able to get additional channels. I'll be there in a couple of weeks with Tigerbangs' deep fringe prescription and see what I can get.
