Hello all,
I've found a lot of good info already on this forum, but had a few more questions for my specific setup. Based on my physical location,
(TVFool: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapp ... d398a39e1a)
I receive all desired UHF transmissions from 119 degree compass bearing and all/both VHF transmissions from 298 degree compass bearing. It seems to me (no prev antenna experience) a decent setup would be:
* High-band VHF antenna (75 ohm)
* (Separate) UHF antenna (75 ohm)
* 1 5-foot (???) roof mounted mast for both antennas
* No preamp. Passive splitter on mast to interconnect both antennas
* RG6 wire for short (less than 50-foot) run to TV
Does this sound reasonable? Trying to keep cost low, so hoping to avoid multiple masts, preamp, rotor, etc...
Also, my current setup uses a simple unamplified indoor antenna (rabbit ears and loop combo) to an analog TV via a digital to analog converter/tuner. The signal strength for most of the UHF channels is great, but the VHF channel (Real 8 and 10) is marginal.
Thanks for the input
