Private message????

I am new to this forum. I have attempted to send a private message to a member, but the message seems to stay in my outbox instead of going to my "Sent" folder. I have tried this twice and made sure I actually hit the "Submit" button. I did, but still the same result. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?
