picking up Cleveland channels in Ontario?

Postby 187goosecrew on Sat Mar 13, 2010 8:09 am

Hello all,

Im in postal code n8w5t8. I was hoping that a HD antenna would help me bring in Cleveland, ohio channels so I can watch Browns games. NFL Sundat Ticket is such a waste of money to watch 1 team. Any info would be great.

Thanks in advance,
Todd

When I ran a TVFool.com scan of your Postal Code, it appears that the Cleveland stations lie more than 90 miles across the lake from your location, and I seriously doubt that you'd be able get the Cleveland stations reliably enough to watch. I wish I had better news! It looks like you better learn to like the Lions! LOL

Here's my tvfool. I'm doing something similar to what you're suggesting. I live in Newmarket and I'm pulling in all of the major networks from Buffalo with about 95% reliability. During the day sometimes when its warm or when there's activity over Lake Ontario etc. the signal will drop off.

Anyways yes Cleveland is 90miles away but thats 90 miles over clear flat water which really does help. How serious are you about the Browns? I'm a little nutty into OTA so I love this sort of challenge. You actually have less land to shoot over than I do and less distance. In my personal experience 100+miles over the lakes can be done with very good (not perfect) results. YMMV.

Check out digitalhome.ca they will have more info on your specific location in Windsor and what other people in your area have been able to accomplish.

One request. Please report back when you get it all sorted out. :)
