pbs not listed in 31410

Postby gargiulo31410 on Wed Jul 28, 2010 11:36 am

Hello
I was wondering why my local PBS transmitter would not be listed when I use the Geoselector. I live in 31410, and the transmitter is about 45 miles away in Pembroke, GA, 31312.
Station's website: http://www.gpb.org/television/stations/wvan
PBS coverage map: http://www.gpb.org/television/stations
The landscape around here is very flat.
Right now I only have a cheap indoor antenna, and it's doing a good job getting all the other stations listed. The signal for those could be better. But PBS is what I care about. I don't want to invest in a better antenna, though, if there's some reason why the PBS station (WVAN) is not listed and no antenna would pick it up.
Thanks for any help!
Mike

Just to be clear, I'm not asking for advice about the indoor antenna, just wanting to check if an outdoor antenna would make any difference for that particular PBS channel.
