Newbie needs help.

Greetings
I need some help trying to figure out why I cant get any Canadian stations now that they have changed over to HD.
I know your going to say .."that's junk".. but I built one of those coathanger antennas as shown on utube.
I can get 25 plus stations ..from Cleveland to Buffalo .. at least 8 of them continuously (from Erie Pa).. but no Canadian ones.
So I bought an antenna from "The Source" ..and guess what I lost most of my stations ...
I have some sort of booster already ( Canadian Tire)... and the antenna is mounted near my ceiling in the kitchen no less.
Should I just make another one and face it north ?? and put in a switch between the two?

It will help to know what kind of antenna you bought and where you mounted it...

It's a Channel Master cm-4220hd .. tried mounting it in the same place as the other one .. can't do much as I rent.

Unfortunately, the Canadian stations are either not operating on UHF (CIII; channel 6) or ar e too weak to be received at your location. because you are in an apartment, you are very limited as to how you can orient your antenna to pick uip TV, and the Canadian channels seem to be away from your easy antenna view...
