New to Viewing TV via Antenna

Postby ranlom on Sun Jul 17, 2011 6:26 am

Newbie here, who in recent years only used cable service. We've just moved into a location zip code 02919 where we'd like to have an LCD in the kitchen area to view a couple of local stations for news broadcasts. The plan is to purchase a 22 inch LCD with a built in tuner and grab an over the air signal. The home is not in a heavily forested area, but does have 25 to 30 foot high trees that could possibly block some signal? The 2 local stations we're interested in transmitters are located to the east and the south east. The room where the antenna and TV will be located is more a north and west direction.

I have looked at the Terk FDTV1A

Any advice on an indoor antenna to feed 1 TV only ? Another newbie question does the antenna plug into where a cable connection would normally plug into? Thanks
