I’m a senior living in a fifteen story apartment building that is serviced by cable tv and like most people I’m sick and tired of being screwed by the cable company so I’ve decided to fight back by becoming a tv service provider, First of all I would install the best possible antenna on the roof and the tv signals from the antenna would go to the buildings cable tv distribution system and from their to the subscribers apartment, Unfortunately I have no technical skills and no knowledge of antennas or of what will be required for someone to link with the buildings cable distribution system, Your help with the following would be greatly appreciated.
1. What antenna would you recommend.
2. Can you enlighten me regarding cable distribution systems.
3. In the event that I branch out into satellite tv can someone please explain how they work, Where do they get the tv programs do they buy them from the broadcasters? Do they have satellite up/down links.???
