Do I need Yellow Antenna Type?

Postby sshuput@tds.net on Tue Sep 16, 2008 7:17 pm

Hello

I have just purchased a LG LCD TV. I do not want to subcribe to cable, and just have an indoor Philips HD 50db antenna connected. I live in the 53182 zip code, and would like to get the Milwaukee channels which are about 25 miles away. I can get WTMJ DT which is NBC but none of the others. Will the yellow antenna type bring me in the other stations? I live in the country so do not have any buildings or trees around my house. I also have the problem with the digital channels I do get fade in and out. I would like to install the antenna in my attic if possible. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Mount a small VHF-hi-UHF antenna ON YOUR ROOF to avoid multipath problems: these newer antennas are small and inconspicuous: look at the Winegard HD-7694 (http://winegard.com/offair/pdf/HD7694P.pdf) and aim it NorthNortEast at the Milwaukee signals. Use good RG-6u coaxial cable, and enjoy perfect HDTV reception
