Need help for zip 33950

Postby WinstonR on Tue Apr 07, 2009 12:30 pm

I have one HDTV in my kitchen that will be on an over the air antenna source.
I would like to mount the antenna in the attic.
The roof is concrete tile with a radiant barrier.
I am looking at a AntennaDirect DB2 unit because that seems to have quite a few good reviews.
Do you believe I will get a decent signal with this set up?
Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks for your help

Even though signals are strong in your location, the concrete tiles on the roof and the radiant insulation will create a formidable barrier to decent reception using an attic-mounted antenna. Additionally, WINK-DT operates on channel 9, a VHF channel to which the DB-2 will not respond. I strongly suggest a roof-mounted antenna like a Winegard HD-7694P if you want reliable reception of the Ft. Myers stations
