Need Advice

Postby DruKe on Tue Jan 05, 2010 3:38 pm

Hey all.. antenna neophyte here. :D

I'm looking at dumping cable and going strictly OTA. I'm currently stuck between two major markets about 45 miles each way.

This is my geoselector map http://www.hdtvantennalabs.com/location/53081/

Any possible way I can pick up both Green Bay and Milwauke with one antenna? I do rent so I'd *prefer* indoor though I can go outdoor. It's just easier ok! :)

Any suggestions for me?

You are over 40 miles from both Green Bay and Milwaukee: an indoor antenna will not work in your situation: If you want to see only one city, either Milwaukee ot Green Bay, install a VHF high-band plus UHF antenna on your roof like a Winegard HD-7696P or an AnrennaCraft HBU-44 aimed at either south (Milwaukee) or north (Green Bay). If you want both cities, add a rotator to the antenna like a Channel Master 9521a, which will allow you to turn the antenna to see both city's stations. Use a preamplifier if you plan to run 2 or more TV sets from the same antenna.
