LOST IN OVER THE AIR BROADCASTING.......

Postby uofkbskb101 on Sun Dec 28, 2008 9:18 pm

Hello,

Need advise please........

I am looking to go over the air with my tv. My zip is 42420. I don't live by any major cities however I would like to pick up absolutely as many channels as I possibly can and also have the best pic possible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Antenna or antennas needed, amps, splitters, as well as the height I need to be. Also, can you tell me how many channels are possible for me to pick up as well as the distance. I will will be connecting 2 to 3 tvs. I will also be needing 1 converter box which these do you recommend?

Thank you for your time and help!

Your TV stations are all very close, but scattered in an arc of about 120 degrees. Additionally, you will have 2 VHF digital stations after Feb 17, 2009. I would use a Channel Master 4221 4-bay UHF antenna for the UHF stations, aimed due north, and an Antennacraft Y-5-7-13 VHF high-band yagi. Combine them with a Pico-Macom USFJ antenna joiner , and use a Winegard HDP-269 preamplifier after the antenna combiner to give you the needed power to run up to 4 TV sets. Run the output of the preamplifier to its power supply using RG-6u coaxial cable, and then use a high-quality 1 gHz or better 4-way splitter to run coaxial branches to your individual TV tuners. Here are some links that will give you the specific information that you need.
