Looking for antenna in 64052

Postby duane1970 on Thu Jun 10, 2010 11:11 pm

I am looking to purchase an outdoor antenna. Have been using an indoor antenna for several months, but the reception is unreliable. It will be fine for days at a time, then goes bad and have to readjust.

I have no idea what I need. I did search on another website and each time I search for what strength of antenna I need, it gives a different result.

My coordinates are Lat - 39.094235 Long - 94.444628. I live in single story house with lots of trees in the area, but no major hills or buildings. Thanks!

Based on your TVFool http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapp ... 0ff4657ce3 you are almost right under several of the KC stations.

You could start with a basic UHF loop or bow-tie, the kind usually included with TV sets in decades past. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest a small UHF-only antenna such as the DB2 facing west-south-west. I'd also order a variable attenuator "just-in-case".

Do not use any antenna with an amplifier.
