We installed the Channel Master 7777 pre amp yesterday and without doing anything else can now receive all the Columbus channels we were shooting for. Still might fine tune some connections but so far everything shows signal strengths over 50 up to 100 on the 2 tv's attached. Wife is happy so I am happy. Went from 2 or 4 channels to over 12 with only the one change. I think our location on a hill top really helps our situation. Again thanks for the useful advice.

I'm glad that it made so much of an improvement! Can you get WOSU now?

I will list our current lineup using the channel numbers we are in the habit of referring to them as:
Channel 4 (NBC) Columbus - 2 channels
Channel 6 (ABC) Columbus - 2 channels
Channel 10 (CBS) Columbus - 2 channels
Channel 28 (FOX) Columbus - 1 channel
Channel 34 (PBS) Columbus - 3 channels
Channel 51 (IND) Hebron area - 1 channel
Channel 53 (CW) Columbus - 1 channel

There are even a couple analogs (Spanish speaking) stations that you can see but not clearly. I don't know if all the leaves falling off has helped but the total difference has been remarkable. The CW channel is the only one down near 50 in signal strength at times. Thanks again for the great tip to get Free TV again.

Pretty awesome! As for the CW station: it's down near Chillicothe, and is quite a bit south of the other culumbus sttions: if you had a rotator on your antenna and could turn the antenna sluth, it would be a lot stronger.

We still plan to mess around with the antenna direction but after getting basically nothing and now getting so much variety we might just not fool around with it for a while. Hate to screw up what is working. Now if I can get my son to do without his Direct TV channels we will be in the money. I will continue to read this site for any new ideas that come along. We are now being invaded by Lady Bugs by the hordes!
