Install antenna at the old dish mount?

Postby FatCat on Thu Mar 31, 2011 11:52 am

I have an unused dish at the roof.
Is antenna installation at the same mount (I'm going to remove dish and use it's mount) a bad idea? It's a metal mount.
Can I use a cable that goes from the dish?

Thanks.

Sounds like an ok idea to me.

Most likely you can. You need an 75 Ohm coax (i.e RG6) and that's the coax that is frequently used with both satellite and terrestrial TV systems.
