How to determine antenna direction

Postby Lost on Sat Apr 12, 2008 11:03 am

i have a Winegard HD7082 antenna. My understanding is that this antenna is directional, and I have to aim it to the towers. The towers are 20 miles to the north from my location, but how do I figure out what direction the antenna points to?

Any help is appreciated.

Uploaded a picture of HD7082 for you. The red arrow should be pointing to the towers.

HD7082 is a Yagi-type antenna. The rule is that an arrow pointing to the towers is parallel to the boom, and goes from the longer elements to the shorter ones.
