Postby bluebird on Mon Oct 27, 2008 11:54 pm

Zip code 89512 Reno Nevada. I want it in my attic, so a compact one. I Have Power In MY Attic. One Digital TV. Of course I want as many channels as possible. I am so confussed with low and high VHF and UHF I do not want one where I have to point it in one direction. Please help any Ideas...Thanks Bluebird

HI Bluebird. Click on the TV Antennas tab up above. On that page part way down you'll see following blue text. Click on it for your answers!

Omnidirectional antennas mounted inside an attic are a sure recipie for disaster: too much multipath inside an attic, and that type of antenna can't discriminate between direct signals and multipathed signals. All of your major station will come from one direction after Feb 17, 2009, so if you insist on using an attic-mount antenna, find a small directional antenna like a Winegard HD7080P or a Radio Shack VU-120Sr and aim it WestNorthWest of your location ( approx 195 degrees). In ant event, you would be much better off mounting the antenna outside the house, preferably on the roof as high as you can get.
