Hello and Help!

Happened across this site - and hope to gain some information to help us decide whether or not to get an antenna. We have been using basic cable - which has recently deleted one of the few stations we get. Tired of the poor choices in channels and the cable company being so unresponsive and expensive.

We have a problem in that we live on the north side of a pretty steep hill - we are about halfway down, and wonder if the hill and trees would preclude our using an antenna. Most TV stations broadcast from the southwest in our area. Would appreciate any information you may have concerning this issue. Our area is 37379.
