This is a great forum, good job!
I can learn quite a bit here and I hope I can help someone out also. I've always felt TV broadcasts were free, off the air, and you should not have to pay for same.
I live in Port Angeles, WA. on the Peninsula, about 65 miles northwest of Seattle, and Victoria B.C. CA, is 19 miles north, in the same line of sight it's 75 miles to Vancouver B.C., and slightly northeast 60 miles away is a local broadcast from Bellinham, WA.(KVOS-12).
Before the digital change over, I could receive most of the local Seattle stations, ABC, NBC, CBS, with an Archer 160" VU-190, 48 element, VHF-UHF-FM, mounted on a ten foot mast, installed in a rotor, on a five foot mast. Since the switch to digital, I've lost the Seattle stations, except the UHF ones, (CBS, NBC) in a quest to regain them, I added a U-100 Corner Reflector Yagi, 80"- 25 elements, above the other. Without the results I wanted. I've recently bought a DB-8, and mounted it between the U-100 Yagi and the VU-190. And my reception is worse.
Thats why I'm here, to find out what I did wrong.
I'll post soon in the Antenna thread, for anwsers!
Thanks!
