Dual antennas

If I need to buy two antennas to get reception from two different directions can I connect the two antennas together so I only have one cable to connect to the tuner? I have a large hill in line with seven transmitters that are about 7 miles away and two transmitters do not have an major obstruction however they are about 25 miles away. I currently have a cheap indoor non-amplified antenna and I can get most of the channels in the area however I need to constantly change the position of the antenna.
